"By the end of the first quarter of 2021, the number of employees we recruit is equivalent to 10%, the number of employees who quit is equivalent to 10%, or even more", General Director of Garment 10 Than Duc Viet said. good.

"Currently, the number of textile and garment workers is very large. While there are many orders, there is a shortage of workers," said Vitas Textile and Apparel Association Chairman Vu Duc Giang.

With the garment industry, workers will need at least 6 months to learn an apprenticeship, a long period of time but the salary is lower than with other occupations such as electronic manufacturing or service provision. In addition, the characteristics of overtime work as well as the textile dyeing environment with many health effects are also what make it difficult for this industry to attract personnel.

Along with attractive remuneration, even the immediate solution being implemented by domestic textile and garment enterprises is to recruit low-skilled, even unskilled workers to both produce and train to solve problems. decide the orders but the situation is still not very positive.

According to experts, most importantly, businesses need to improve the quality of facilities and ensure the health of workers so that this industry can attract personnel in the current context of labor mobility; and at the same time create motivation for workers to devote more labor to the enterprise.
