Sharing with DTTC, Mr. Nguyen Chi Trung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gia Dinh Group Joint Stock Company, said that the situation of footwear exporters is currently quite tense. The reason is that leather shoes are in season, orders are many, delivery time for partners has also been pre-determined. But now, in the face of complicated epidemic situation, Ho Chi Minh City implements social distancing according to Directive 15, and businesses with large numbers of workers such as Gia Dinh shoes are also strictly following this directive.
Accordingly, the production department must implement distance to ensure safety. Workers will have to take time off, divided into shifts. Not to mention that there are many workers located in districts, isolated areas according to Directive 16 or areas with infected or suspected cases, businesses have to temporarily take leave.
The office department must also ensure social distancing. These things are confusing enterprises in production, because they will likely not be able to meet the delivery schedule as contracted.
"We also have negotiations with purchasing partners, but there are still many difficulties. Small orders are easy, and orders for big brands are not easy, because they have also planned from the beginning. before," said Trung.
But Trung also affirmed that despite difficulties and affecting business performance, businesses always accompany and strictly abide by the city's regulations for general safety.
"Just a little bit of negligence, if unfortunately the epidemic breaks out in the business itself, it will not only affect the economy alone, but also can push businesses into many unforeseen difficulties," Trung said.

Also a labor-intensive industry, the director of a textile and garment export business said his business had to work in shifts to ensure social distancing. Businesses seriously comply but also can't help but worry, because the orders are many. Workers who were already lacking now have to work in shifts, the possibility of untimely delivery is very high.
Of course, that's the concern, but ensuring safety is still a top priority for businesses.
Large enterprises with many workers face many difficulties and challenges. Small businesses also do not breathe easier in the context of the current epidemic and distance.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Huong, Director of Thien Nhien Viet Import-Export Co., Ltd (specializing in making freeze-dried vegetable powder), said that the company was still standing during the epidemic last year, but it was really difficult to get through this epidemic.
These days, following the implementation of the Directive 15, the office and production departments have to reduce people. On the other hand, due to the epidemic, sales at this time plummeted by 50%. The frequency of goods exported to Europe decreased, due to many high costs, and domestic consumption also decreased due to the impact of the epidemic.
"In the past, we used to participate in sales at many exhibitions and clean markets, but the epidemic has made this sales channel impossible to maintain. We are trying to cut costs to survive the epidemic." Huong shared.
The difficulty is that, but when called by the VNCLC association, Thien Nhien Viet company with the product of gotu kola powder from Quang Thanh, quickly joined hands to contribute products to accompany the doctors and nurses in Go Vap area. translation efforts.
Even though production is in quarantine, businesses that are still open are still lucky. Service and entertainment businesses are on the verge of bankruptcy because over the past year, the closing time has been repeated and prolonged. Most recently, businesses in the Vietnamese film distribution and screening market have written to the Prime Minister, asking for support to avoid bankruptcy because of the pandemic.
According to enterprises, currently the revenue from movie screening and distribution activities of movie enterprises is almost zero, while the business still has to bear the costs of space rental, salary and welfare for employees. With that situation, businesses, big or small, can fall into bankruptcy.
