At this program, the delegation organized medical examination, distributed medicine and gave gifts to more than 500 people in Vinh Loi district, and gave each gift worth 1.3 million VND, of which 1 million VND. in kind (textile products) and 300,000 VND in cash for the families of war invalids and martyrs, families with meritorious services to the revolution, families with special difficulties and employees of Vinatex Bac Lieu Garment Factory. Also on this occasion, the delegation visited and gave gifts to 10 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the locality.

Commencement of construction of Phong Phu bridge in Chau Thoi commune, Vinh Loi district, Bac Lieu province

Along with the program of medical examination and distribution of medicines to the people, the delegation also started the construction of Phong Phu bridge in Giong Bum B hamlet, Chau Thoi commune, Vinh Loi district, Bac Lieu province. The work has reinforced concrete structure, load 2.5 tons, width 3.5 m - 26.5 m long, with railing designed with reinforced concrete. Phong Phu Bridge was started with capital funded by Phong Phu Corporation and Dong Nam Textile Joint Stock Company - a unit of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Cao Huu Hieu - General Director of Vinatex said: “Vietnam's textile and garment industry is the key economic sector of the country.
