Skilled and trained labor is an advantage

Referring to the labor market in our country today, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung said: The labor market has now had many changes and prospered. However, the workforce with certificates and degrees is still low, and the quality of human resources has not yet met the requirements. There is still a shortage of local labor in the labor market, a lack of high-quality human resources, leading to low labor productivity.

Regarding the disadvantages for unskilled or untrained workers, the Employment Service Center of Binh Duong Province informed: In Binh Duong province, statistics in the 9 months of 2022, the number of employees General education accounts for more than 91% of the total number of people applying for unemployment benefits. The main cause of unemployment is the expiration of the contract or the two parties agreeing to terminate the labor contract because during the working process the employer and the employee cannot reach an agreement such as: Working time, working environment, remuneration, salary. Unemployed workers are mainly unskilled workers, without professional degrees and certificates, operating in the garment, electronics, leather shoes, furniture industries...

Meanwhile, for recruitment demand in the City, according to the Center for Forecasting Human Needs and Labor Market Information of Ho Chi Minh City, in the last months of the year, the demand for trained workers accounting for nearly 85% of the total recruitment demand, the demand for untrained laborers only accounts for more than 15%.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, human resource forecaster, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Education Association, said that with the current and future labor market, occupations that use a lot of labor, Low skills will gradually lose competitive advantage. Low-skilled workers will easily lose their jobs and be fired due to low competitiveness in the labor market.

Along with that, according to experts, localities that have needs to attract workers and businesses need to continue to have solutions and invest in basic infrastructure to serve workers such as housing, medical examination and treatment areas. , a play area for workers' children, helping employees feel secure, stick with them for a long time, limit disturbance and "passive" about human resources.
