Compared to the previous quarter, the labor force in both regions, rural and urban, increased by 0.3 million people and 0.1 million people respectively. In the second quarter, there were just over 8 million people aged 15 and over who were negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, down more than half from the previous quarter and down 4.8 million people compared to the same period last year. . Also during this period, the number of unemployed people was nearly 1.1 million, a decrease of 41.6 thousand people compared to the previous quarter and a decrease of 112,000 people compared to the same period last year.

According to the General Statistics Office, the average monthly income of employees reached 6.6 million VND, an increase of 206,000 VND compared to the first quarter of 2022; Workers are gradually returning to the normal state like before the Covid-19 epidemic appeared.

Along with that, the labor force, the number of employed people, and the average monthly income of employees in the second quarter of this year all increased compared to the previous quarter and the same period in 2021.
